Paradise may be used to control weeds around amenity plantings which have not emerged at the time at which the product is sprayed. Places such as parks, roadsides and landscaped areas are suitable for treatment. Research has been carried out to determine the susceptibility of many non-target shrubs and trees which may be inadvertently sprayed during application to amenity shrub beds.

All possible care must be taken when spraying these areas to avoid spray drift on to non-target crops, shrubs, ornamentals and trees. Particular care should be taken to avoid spraying close to shallow-rooted plants, and those species which are susceptible to soil uptake.
